What are porcelain veneers ?
Veneers are ultra thin and are permanently bonded to the front of your teeth. These thin shells of porcelain have the ability to dramatically improve your smile. They blend perfectly with your natural teeth, and can help alter the contour, width, length, and color of your teeth.

Porcelain Veneer Process

First, you and Dr. Gombert will have a consult appointment to answer all your questions in regards to smile design, review the different options that are available today, and design your smile based on your facial characteristics and the image you want to project.  He will then gather some diagnostic information, x-rays, photographs and models of your current smile to aid him in making your new smile.  He will do a mock up smile in wax on your models to aid the ceramist during the process.

On the following appointment, Dr. Gombert will make the changes necessary to your existing teeth to allow for the final porcelain to fit perfectly.  An impression is then taken to allow the master ceramist to create your custom porcelain veneers, and Parkside Dental Health will fabricate your temporary veneers.  These temporary veneers will give you a preview of your new smile.

Once your permanent veneers are completed, Dr. Gombert will be ready to try them in.

Before the veneers are bonded into place, he verifies that they fit perfectly, look beautiful and most important, that you love them.  Once everything is perfect, he bonds the porcelain veneers into place and your new smile is complete.
